Currant Creek Reservoir is flanked by curious red rock formations and high country aspen. Tucked in the aspens on the banks of the reservoir is Currant Creek Campground. This large campground offers tent and trailer sites and is open from late May through October. Unique to this campground is one loop designated for campers with horses. Each site in the loop has access to mangers, hitching rails, a loading ramp and miles of riding trails.
Don't miss the fishing on Currant Creek reservoir. The action is continuous from a boat or from shore. A boat ramp, fish cleaning station and a barrier-free fishing pier round out the fishing experience. A playground can be found in the campground when the kids are ready for a break from fishing. A short nature hike is also accessible from the campground and offers some delightful views of the reservoir and nearby red cliffs. Fly fishing is unbeatable on Currant Creek below the dam and the tributaries to the reservoir. Currant Creek Reservoir and Campground are accessible via a well-maintained gravel road from US Hwy 40 southeast of Heber City. Reservations are available by calling 1-877-444-6777.
