  Mill Hollow Campground

Set on the banks of Mill Hollow Reservoir, this rustic campground is nestled in a peaceful, high mountain forest. Although sites can accommodate both tents or trailers, access is via a dirt road and the campground itself is not paved. The season is June through October and all sites are occupied on a first-come, first-served basis. Access this campground from scenic US Hwy 35 east of Heber.

The reservoir is stocked regularly and is a fishing favorite. Due to its small size, powerboats and motors are not permitted on the lake, but it is ideal for float tubes, small rafts, and canoes. Nearby streams also offer action packed fishing. A shoreline trail around the reservoir makes for a delightful evening stroll. For a longer hike, a 3-mile loop trail leaves the campground near site #17 and travels through thick spruce and fir forest. Walk quietly to catch a glimpse of wildlife that make their home in these woods. From the campground, numerous dirt roads access the upper elevations of the forest offering expansive ridgetop views and meadows thick with wildflowers.
