The Clegg Canyon trail follows a narrow canyon through oak, conifer and aspen stands. At both ends, the trail is relatively flat, but has a fairly steep pitch in the middle making this a moderate hike. The trail is approximately three miles one-way and distance may be varied. Access Clegg Canyon 10 miles southeast of Heber City along US Hwy 40 in Daniels Canyon. The canyon is signed and limited parking is available off US Hwy 40.

Within minutes of Heber are several lower elevation trails that offer easy to moderate mountain hikes. The Heber City Walk is a great way to see the sights of Heber and some of the surrounding farmlands. Visit the Forest Service office just east of Heber City on US Hwy 40 for detailed maps of forest trails and other recreation information in the area. Wasatch Mountain State Park also offers a few trails close to Heber.
