  Heber City Walk

A variety of walks through the city itself offer a sense of the rural feel of Heber. This pleasant five-mile walk wanders through Heber City neighborhoods, along downtown Main Street and past the County Fairgrounds. Park at the Heber Valley Visitor Center at 475 North Main or begin anywhere along Main Street and follow Main to 600 South. Turn right or west on 600 South and follow the road past the fairgrounds. Stay on this road where it jogs to the left, then turn right on 650 South to 600 West. Turn right on 600 West along the railroad tracks to 100 South. Turn right and follow 100 South through the stoplight to 500 East. Turn left on 500 East to 500 North. Turn left and follow 500 North back to Main Street and the Visitor Center.

Within minutes of Heber are several lower elevation trails that offer easy to moderate mountain hikes. The Heber City Walk is a great way to see the sights of Heber and some of the surrounding farmlands. Visit the Forest Service office just east of Heber City on US Hwy 40 for detailed maps of forest trails and other recreation information in the area. Wasatch Mountain State Park also offers a few trails close to Heber.
