  Nobletts Creek

This easy three-mile out-and-back hike is fun for any hiker! The trail follows Nobletts Creek, spilling over fascinating travertine geologic formations to the creek's origin, a rockfall where the stream surfaces from underground. Vegetation along the creek is thick and lush and the trail is hidden under an overstory of tall evergreens. This is a hike not to miss! To reach the trailhead, follow Utah Hwy 35 east of Woodland approximately 2.5 miles past the forest boundary sign to a parking area and trailhead on the left. Two trails originate at this trailhead. Nobletts Creek trail branches right.

East of Heber Valley, the mountains rise over 10,000 feet, vegetated with conifer and aspen opening onto grassy meadows dotted with wildflowers most of the summer. Numerous trails wind through these high elevation woods and meadows, offering some unbeatable day-hikes and a few opportunities for overnight backpack trips. For detailed maps of this area and recreation information, contact the Heber Ranger District (435-654-0470), located on US Hwy 40 just southeast of Heber City.
