Experienced hikers will enjoy exploring miles of trails in Snake Creek Canyon, through scenic forests and lush vegetation, overlooking Heber Valley. A few high elevation trails continue to the ridge, crossing onto the Uinta National Forest and accessing the Great Western Trail. The best way to experience Snake Creek Canyon is to spend a day exploring. Most trails are unmarked and may require some route-finding, but the scenery is well worth it. Although these trails are unmaintained, heavy use by hikers, horseback riders, and mountain bikers make many of them easy to follow. Trailhead access along Snake Creek road may be limited; check in at the WMSP Visitor Center for more details. To reach Snake Creek Canyon, turn left at the park visitor center and follow the road past the golf course into the canyon.
